New International project to replace Schools for Africa – The proposal was made by the International Educational Excellence Committee and passed at the convention to support GIRLS: Girls Initiative to Revitalize Learning and Success This project will be administered through
UNICEF.

Registration for the International Conference is open. The Conference will be July 31-August 2 in New Orleans. Merlyna Valentine will be keynote speaker.
A DKGIEF event on the Creole Queen will be held on Friday, August 1. This will include a paddlewheel adventure on the Mississippi River with dinner and a band.
SOLT (State Organization Leadership Training) will be immediately before the convention from July 29-July 31 for incoming state presidents, executive secretaries, membership chairs, EEC chairs, and treasurers.​
